THE ROLE OF SOCIAL MEDIA IN THE SOCIETY

TAYODEA is a youth activisit and volunteer organization working with other civil society organization. Many youth from entering the political real as they do not posses the social and economic.

Only a majority of people especially youth viewed this right as they are either unaware or ignorant of fact.

The way of help this group of people is to mobilize in political participation and activists in the social change. These are very essential to overcoming the barrier preventing them from engaging in society as citizen on equal terms and with equal opportunities as adult and other society group. More specifically it is essential their youth  are organized and political empowered to hold government accountable  for fair

First we say social media is a potentials a public relation tool building a brand identity and publicizing our work. We use two social media platform different but they all link to each other. Our web site calling www.tayodea.org  combines up to date and analysis on our work with commentary on social media issues. We mostly post link to interesting activity, who people like to join with our work for implementation.

Despite commitments to decentralization and youth cantered development, young women and men in Africa politically, socially and economically marginalized - without adequate opportunities to influence decisions affecting their lives. A contributing factor is that youth, as a consequence of the current political culture, are not provided space to legitimately claim their rights and entitlements.

Consequently, the insecurity and marginalization of people prevents them from contributing to society in accordance with their rights and capabilities which in turn hampers local democracy and increases poverty. Thus, unless youth are provided adequate political, social and economic space there is little chance that Tanzania will meet its long-term objectives of bringing development closer to the people and eradicate absolute poverty (LGRP & Vision 2025).

One idea we will be pursuing is to draw on

thinking about social media can contribute to our people it can bring information to any one who access our platform 

Moreover, our has very experience in organizing and empowering youth/community to wield their moral and legal rights (i.e. as voters, citizens and political participants which means that it accepts the need for Civil Society Organizations to support community in confronting the structural causes diminishing local democracy.
